Over 60,000 Tons! SUMEC’s First Overseas Warehouse Shipment of Manganese Ore Arrives!

On the evening of March 12, the Jiangyuan Yizhou, a bulk carrier carrying 62,000 tons of manganese ore, successfully berthed at Tianjin Port and commenced unloading operations. This marks the maiden shipment independently operated by SUMEC-ITC, a subsidiary of SUMEC Co., Ltd., through its overseas warehouse under an innovative business model.

Manganese ore is widely used in domestic steel smelting, building materials manufacturing, automotive industry, new energy vehicle batteries and other fields. The manganese ore imported by SUMEC-ITC this time will provide a stable raw material supply for domestic metallurgical enterprises and ensure the normal operation of customers’ production.

In recent years, SUMEC-ITC has thoroughly implemented the Blue Ocean Strategy and continuously improved its global logistics and resource supply chain service network. In November 2025, the company’s first overseas warehouse was officially put into operation, mainly serving mineral import business. The launch of this overseas warehouse has enabled SUMEC-ITC to realize advance storage and dynamic allocation of resources, effectively hedging against fluctuations in cargo quality and uncertainties in maritime transportation. Meanwhile, it allows flexible delivery scheduling in line with domestic demand, achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and significantly enhancing the company’s global resource integration capability.
